SPLIT SCREEN / Quad Screen TUTORIALs

SPLIT SCREEN TUTORIAL

 1. CREATE A FOLDER IN YOUR TVSTUDIO - CLASSES FOLDER.  

NAME IT :  SPLIT SCREEN

2. CREATE A NEW ADOBE PRO PROJECT

3. SAVE IT IN YOUR NEW FOLDER

4. NAME THE PROJECT:  SPLIT SCREEN

5. IMPORT TWO DIFFERENT VIDEOS

6. PLACE THEM ON LINES 1 AND 2 - ON TOP OF EACH OTHER

7. CLICK ON EFFECTS on the top tab of Adobe

- On the right, select VIDEO EFFECTS

- Go to TRANSFORM

-SELECT CROP

-DRAG IT TO THE VIDEO ON LINE 1

-make sure it is scaled to frame size

-make sure you select/ click on the video with your arrow tool

8. Select the Editing tab at the top of Adobe

9. in the top left, scroll down  to crop

10. You will see that you can crop

bottom

right

left

11.  We will talk about cropping video


QUAD SCREEN

1. Get a grid to record your quadrants

2. Open Premiere Pro

3. Name your project as indicated in the folder in tv studio

4. Import videos from one folder and complete the project

A. Bring one video to your timeline and CLICK ON THE PICTURE ON THE TIMELINE

B. Go to SCALE in top left editing screen

C. Make pic/ video 50%

D. Move to one of the 4 corners

E. Record that quadrant

F. Select the next pic,

G. Bring it to your timeline on line 2

F. Click on the pic ON THE TIMELINE

H. Scale to 50%

I. Move to the next corner

Complete with all 4 pics/ videos

Cutting out an object
Learning to cut out in photoshop

1. import picture
2. Make a copy of the picture
3. delete the original picture layer
4. Go to the eraser tool
5. Adjust settings
6  Save as tiff file
7. check transparency box

QUICK SELECTION TOOL

 Type 2- Quick Selection Tool


1. You can cut out using any of the selection tools.

2. Using any of the selection tools.

A. call up your picture in Photoshop

B. Make a Copy

C. Delete the original

D. Select the     QUICK SELECTION TOOL

E. At he top, select Subject

F. Add a Mask (The tool is located under the layer panel)

NEXT: OPTION 1



G. Click on the picture side next to the mask

H. Select your ERASER tool

I. Adjust the levels

J. Begin to erase fine spots


OPTION 2

IF TOO MUCH WAS CUT OFF:

1. CLICK ON THE MASK SIDE OF THE LAYER AND USE YOUR ERASER TOOL TO REBUILD THE PHOTO

K. Save AS a TIFF file

9. Check TRANSPARENCY Box

10 Make sure to rename
