SHOW TITLE:  WE SAY: MIXED INTERVIEWS FROM BHS STUDENTS

Double Projects
Now that the end of the year is drawing near, it is time to complete our final exam project.

PROJECT 1 - TV SHOW WITH 3 SEGMENTS
You will be assigned two projects to work on consecutively.
Make a project folder called: TVSHOW - in your class folder
-Each group member is required to participate in each show
-Each group member is responsible for editing ONE segment each
-Each group member must have all 3 episode scripts and storyboards in their folder


Class project #1: Edit TV Studio shows/ Segment
1. Create a topic/ theme for your show
2. Create a title for your show
3. Create an Intro Title /Opening  with music for your show
4. Create a matching lower third

5. Fill out a story board for each of your three segments
6. Fill out a script for each of your three segments
7. Make sure each show follows the same format

-Display your best video talent, organization skills and written creativity.
-Students are required to complete this project.
-You must use 4 different tutorials
-3 different title programs
-Develop a creative theme
-Incorporate quality audio
-You may use any transitions.....No, I am not placing any restrictions, just have fun. I know you enjoy mixing transitions, and I don't! This time, you can go transition crazy!!

NO FILMING ON FRIDAY, 3/25- YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR PROJECT:  BRING IN INTRO, OUTRO, AND  LOWER THIRDS (import)
Monday, 3/28 - Thursday, 3/31,  - filming / editing
Friday, 4/1- Final Export to your folder



DETAILS:
1. IN YOUR CLASS FOLDER, YOU HAVE A FOLDER CALLED "SHOW"
-IT CONTAINS, THE INTRO GRAPHIC, THE OUTRO GRAPHIC, AND THE BAR FOR THE LOWER THIRD.

LOWER THIRD DIRECTIONS:

-WORDS AND BAR FADE IN/ OUT AT THE SAME TIME
-LOWER THIRD IS QUICK:  2-3 SECONDS AND SHOULD NOT GO BEYOND EACH INTERVIEW

4. YOU WILL USE THE SAME FONT FOR EACH QUESTION:

Project 2: Final Exam

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Students are required to create a 3 minute (MIN.) video entitled "All About Me" (You may insert your name in place of the "ME")

2. Students will select a theme that will be carried out throughout the video
3. 6 titles are required
4. Students must use 4 tutorials and 2 video effects.
5, Any transition combination may be used throughout the video
6. Any jumpy video segment or poor audio segment will result in a deduction of 10 points for each problem area.
7. Students will showcase three chapters of their lives.
8. Students may convert old videos, scan old photos (if you use photos, you must use the timing tutorial to assure that they go along with the video.)
9. Students are encouraged to record voice overs and utilize sound effects.

YOU MUST SIGN AND TURN IN A FINAL EXAM CONTRACT: 

WORDING FROM CONTRACT: 
I agree to work on my projects on the days indicated above. I will create a folder and name it : FINAL EXAM.  I will create an Adobe Premiere Pro Project and name it:  FINAL.  I realize that Mrs. Christian will check my folders every Wednesday and grade my progress. (scripts, storyboards, video log, photos, videos, etc.) If I fail to work on my projects, I understand that my grade will be drastically reduced. Also, I realize that I am required to keep and  turn in my video log for my final exam.  This is a working document that will not be finalized until the end of my project. I will continue to change and update my project.

Also, I will check the blog daily to see any additions, requirements or updates for both projects. I will follow all project requirements indicated on the blog.



Requirements:
1. Students are required to turn in a working video log. This is like a script. You will outline each chapter and provide written details of any specifics that will be in the video. You will select audio and indicate song times....ex. 0:00-20 seconds. (Also, include highlighted lyrics for this section of the music)

2. Create your log in script form: Video/ audio/ details (Logs will be turned in every Friday)

3. Each chapter must have purpose

-The final exam must be exported before your final exam period ends.
-I will be in my classroom every day until 3:00 and I am here every Monday until 4:00
**You will need extra time, so please take advantage of this early start.
**We only have one scanner, you may scan at home and bring photos in on disc.
**Please see me before converting video that is not digital



**Final exam must be exported into a folder entitled " FINAL"
***ANY VIDEO NOT EXPORTED WILL RECEIVE A 75 POINT DEDUCTION.....IT WILL
NOT PASS!!
*ALL LYRICS MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE SONGS ARE PLACED INTO EITHER PROJECT
