How to Use the Red Eye Tool in Photoshop 

To quickly remove red eyes in photos:

  1. Open the photo and zoom in on the red eyes.

    Open the photo and zoom in on the red eyes.
  2. Click and hold the Healing Brush tool and select Red Eye Tool at the bottom of the list.

  3. Click on the reds eyes and watch them turn to normal.

    Increase the Pupil Size in the tool options bar to widen the area the tool will be applied to. Adjust the Darken Amount to lighten or darken the result.

How to Manually Remove Red Eyes in Photoshop

If you want more control over how the final result looks, you can also remove red eyes manually:

  1. Open the photo and zoom in on the red eyes.

  2. Click and hold the Eyedropper tool and select Color Sampler Tool.

  3. Click on an area of the iris where you can see a hint of the natural color.

  7. Set the Radius to 1 pixel and select OK to soften the edges of the painted area on the layer.

Quiz

  QUIZ

1. Open Photoshop

2.create a new project - make sure all of the numbers. proportions . image sizes are correct

3. Import the 4 photos from the folder called "Adjust Levels" in your tvstudio folder.

*Make sure you  make a background copy for each

4. Complete the following:

For each picture:

A. Adjust the Red, Green, Blue levels

B. Crop the pic if needed....using the rectangle "ant" tool located under the "move " tool

C. Add a frame

D. Save AS for each picture...and add edit to the picture name.

Homecoming edit

DO NOT save over the original

E. Save as a Photoshop (PSD ) file

F. Make sure your edits are saved in your tv student folder entitled "adjust levels"

NEWS PACKAGE: 1. Students are to produce a news package.

 


Goal: Students will create timely news packages
Students will produce all aspects of the project

DIRECTIONS:

1. Everyone does their OWN news package and must select a topic that is not used by any other person in periods 1 or 3

2. The topic of the package must be relevant after the taping and submission date (EX. don't work on a package that will "be old news" by the time it airs)

FIRST:
    a. MAKE A FOLDER IN YOUR TVSTUDIO FOLDER
    b. NAME YOUR FOLDER NEWSPACKAGE 1 AND YOUR INITIALS
    c. CREATE A NEW ADOBE PROJECT AND TITLE IT THE SAME AS  YOUR FOLDER

SECOND: 
1.Create a planning sheet.  see below
-All planning sheets and formal scripts must be turned in for a grade by Wednesday, 11/17.....I will put zeros in my gradebook (50 points)
-turn your work into Google Classroom

1. Filming days
2. Filming and importing- Wednesday, 11/17- Monday, 11/22
3. Initial Editing must be completed by Wednesday, 11/24 Exported into your NEWSPACKAGE 1 FOLDER

1. Two types of interviews:
-Reporter in shot
-Reporter out of shot

2. Discuss having subject repeat the question in their answer

3. Establishing the shot

4. Now let's practice
-Each person in the class must be taped.....as if the reporter is OUT of the shot
-Set up a location with a clean/ relevant background.

CREATE YOUR OWN SCRIPT
A. Create your own intro.:  WRITE THE ENTIRE INTRO AND OUTRO.
EX: hELLO, i'M___________ AND TODAY,WE ARE GOING TO MEET_____________.

HELLO BHS, I'M ________, AND TODAY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO MEET AN EXCITING STUDENT.
(YOU WILL MIX A SERIES OF ONE AND TWO SHOTS.)

B. one person will ask, and you will answer the following questions

1. Name?
2. Age?
3. Favorite part about being in grade___?  Why?
4. Tell us one thing about yourself that others in HS would not know?
5. If you were given 1 million dollars, what would you do with it?  Why?
6. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what would you take with you and why?  It must be portable.  You must be able to carry it with you, even if you were swimming.

What is BHS Package


-Students will use a rubric, gather into groups and brainstorm for each package: What is BHS?
-All work must be placed in a new folder on TV Studio called:  What is BHS  (You must create this new folder before you begin.  NEXT, YOU MUST MAKE A PROJECT IN ADOBE PREMIERE WITH THE SAME NAME AND YOUR INITIALS)

1. -Students will create an initial PARAGRAPH,  This is a paragraph that serves as an overview for your project ideas
 2. Initial cast and crew list, prop and costume list (Anything listed on the final script...due 2 days prior to production will result in a significant deduction)
3. Story Board - A rough drawing  and write up of your project
4. A formal Scrips
**Camera directions must be very specific. (Anything listed on the final script...due 2 days prior to production will result in a significant deduction) *TREAT IT THE SAME AS THE LAST PROJECT

7. No extra/ sloppy video
8. Clear audio (YOU MAY USE OUR FREE MUSIC IN THE MUSIC FOLDER AND/ OR VOICE OVERS)
9. Export to your folder called: What is BHS
10. It must be one of the four times...to the EXACT second/ Frame
