PSA Video Prep

Monday and Tuesday:

Goal: Students will create story boards and scripts for their PSA
Students will present their concepts to the class
Students will evaluate peer concepts

Standard - 1.9.11.A: Use media and technology resources for research, information analysis, problem solving, and decision making in content learning. Identify complexities and inconsistencies in the information and the different perspectives found in each medium.
1.9.11.B: Evaluate how the techniques used in media modify traditional society.
1.2.11B - use and understand a variety of media and evaluate the quality of material produced

*One person in each group should be responsible for any graphics/ titles
**One person should be in charge of editing sound effects or music

Key Frames

Key Frames
Titles and Key frames
Monday:
Students will review the tutorial at their desks, add to their instructional notes and practice the tutorial

Students will create a practice key frame project
(Please save it in a new folder named : PRACTICE KEY FRAME)

Tuesday:
Video Quiz
1. Students will log on and go to the TV studio server

2. Create a new Adobe Project : Place it in a folder called: Key frame Quiz 1
(Make this folder in YOUR folder.)

3. Save your Save your project in this new folder

4. Use the background located in the folder entitled "Dropped Video"

5. Using your name, Create a new title

6. Make it a new color

7. Using key frames

A. Make your title spread and grow twice it's size

B. This will occur in the middle of your project

C. Your title will remain in it's original size at the beginning and end of the video

D. Your video must pause in the middle (Use two key frames in the center to accomplish this.

E. Your title must fade in and fade out

F. Export your completed project to your new folder and call it "Final Quiz 1"

Students will review Adobe Premiere

Tuesday: Edit videos

Import music: Students will learn to utilize Sound Forge

Wednesday - Thursday: Edit sound and video
All videos must be exported for grading by Friday, 9/17

Assignment 1

Students will begin their first assignment

1. Goal students will learn to import sound
2. Students will begin filming
9/7- 9/20

Goal: Students will learn to manipulate video
Students will become familiar with Adobe Premiere
Today we will be working on our projects and tutorials

9/7-9/9: Half of the class will tape; The others will complete 3 tutorials

Tutorial 1:
Basic bin

Tutorial 2:
Basic Title

Tutorial 3
Title crawl

You will be required to demonstrate your understanding of each video

Please take notes

We will review each tutorial on Monday, 9/13

9/14- Students will learn to import music through Sound Forge

9/15- 9/16 - Students will review basic editing skills
